On December 8, 2022, Viet Trang hosted a special event called Meet The Artisans, which brought together skilled artisans from the workshop in Nga Son, Thanh Hoa.
In addition to meeting these talented craftswomen, guests were able to participate in a workshop on handicraft fiber weaving. They had the chance to experience knitting a simple product using natural materials, which was a truly enriching experience.
The event was held at Viet Trang’s office, and it was an intimate gathering with knitting artists. Although it was a sudden date that was not planned in advance, the aunts and sisters came to Ho Chi Minh City for the first time to meet the younger generation of the Viet Trang family. They shared their knowledge about the craft of knitting, expressing their aspirations and wishes to continue their craft for a long time. Mr. Viet, the founder of Viet Trang, also shared more about the company, its stages of formation, development, and preservation of sedge weaving in Nga Son.
In addition to the products on display, Viet Trang also arranged a “Fundraising Sales” area with wicker products that attendees could purchase directly at the event. The proceeds from the sale of these products were collected for the Sống Foundation – Fund to support the development of sustainable communities.
